Syntax notes: ἄρα is used to indicate a logical inference, to express consequence, or—in later and especially Attic Greek—frequently as an interrogative particle introducing questions, often ones seeking confirmation. It is indeclinable and does not show inflection for case, number, gender, person, tense, mood, or voice.
